With at least two and maybe more movies coming up for Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, fans and critics have wondered whether or how being the much-loved breakout character from a movie that was widely panned might impact her take on the character and her world going forward.

During the same recent video interview with MTV News in which she teased yet another Harley project in development, Robbie was asked whether the lukewarm response to Suicide Squad would influence her take on the character going forward. Her answer, generally, was a no.

"I think when it comes ot something that has such a huge fan base already obviously you want to do the fans justice, you want to show them the characters that they fell in love with, but you also can't be paralyzed by the idea that you can't please everyone," Robbie said.

You can see the full video, in which she goes into some more detail on the philosophy behind that answer, above.

Suicide Squad is available on home video now; Suicide Squad 2, Joker & Harley Quinn, Gotham City Sirens, and possibly one more Harley Quinn movie are all in early stages of development with an eye toward getting at least one of them into production soon for a 2019 release.
