Wondering what Jared Leto’s Joker was doing with his time not searching obsessively for his beau Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad? The video concept sees Ricky “Rosรฉ” Ross and Skrillex in Miami, doing a bunch of gangster sh*t while The Joker looks on in a boss stance. Basically, the two musicians are serving as Mr. J’s henchmen, when it comes to hitting the strip club, killing off enemies, or just joy riding in cars and boats. You know, the usual. If anything, it helps to offer us another look at the (slightly confusing) horror/gangster mix Leto has chosen for his version of The Joker.
As Suicide Squad hits theaters under a wave of divisive reactions and controversy, it’s been revealed that a lot of Joker scenes were cut from the film, meaning there is even more of Leto’s performance to see. But with critics already ripping into the Academy Award-winning actor for a strange take on the iconic DC villain, the only question that remains is: do the fans want to see more of “Mr. J” – in music videos or otherwise?
