Speaking to EW, Amell was careful not to spill the beans about Ronnie Raymond’s appearance on the Flash, but he did reveal some key details about his return.
“I was there last week,” he said to the outlet, confirming the timeline from his Instagram post with on-screen wife Danielle Panabaker.
Amell said his scenes (keyword: SCENES) are with Panabaker’s Caitlin Snow and Grant Gustin‘s Barry Allen, and hinted at Firestorm‘s fate in the series.
“I may or may not be alive,” he said.
While the last time we saw the actor on the Flash in a substantial role, he was playing Deathstorm, the villainous parallel Earth version of the character.
But his words about being able to share a scene with Gustin’s the Flash hint that we are not seeing the Deathstorm version of the character, but the true Firestorm of Earth-1.
“I rarely get to have scenes with Grant,” Amell said. “The only time he and I had a scene that was just the two of us, I was Stein at the time, I was pretending to be Victor Garber. So it was cool to have a real scene with Grant.”
The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. “Dead or Alive” will air on The CW next week on January 31st to continue The Flash’s third season.
