The CW has released a trio of sneak peeks from tonight’s episode of Supergirl, which is titled “Distant Sun” and was directed by Clerks and Mallrats filmmaker Kevin Smith.

In the first clip, Kara is enjoying the delicious breakfast that Mon-El made for her, but the cute moment comes to halt when she’s, on her television, that an alien is rampaging through Midtown Park. In the second clip, Mon-El parents meet him at the alien dive bar he works at. They give him a hard time about being a bartender, and he accuses them of putting a bounty on his girlfriend. In the third and final clip, while Maggie and Alex are taking a stroll, they bump into Maggie’s ex.
A large bounty is put out on Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and aliens from far and near attack National City intent on taking out the woman of steel.Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) run into Maggie’s ex-girlfriend, Emily (guest star Hayley Sales), who is in town for a week.Hank (David Harewood) gets an interesting order from President Marsdin (guest star Lynda Carter).
Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn.
