One of the highlights of Supergirl‘s second season has been the introduction of Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) to the show’s lore.

With much of Lena’s storyline this season involving her family – mainly her adopted mother, Lillian (Brenda Strong) – it’s not impossible to believe that the most famous Luthor could someday appear on the show. While fans have gotten to see a childhood version of Lex Luthor through flashbacks, the actor has yet to be seen in the show’s present day timeline.
So if the show were to introduce an older Lex Luthor, who exactly would play him? McGrath was asked about her ‘dream casting’ during an interview with TVLine, and gave a rather surprising answer.
“One episode? Bruce Willis.” McGrath revealed. “The most amazingly, good-looking, bald man there ever is.”
Of course, there’s a very slim chance for Willis to make his way over to the role. And within the canon of Supergirl, the age difference between Willis and the show’s stars would certainly be noticeable, considering the fact that Lena and Lex are established to be half siblings of a similar age, and it was previously mentioned that Lex and Clark Kent/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) grew up together.
But now that McGrath has thrown the idea out there, you can’t deny that Willis would be an interesting choice to play an older Lex Luthor in any capacity.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
