As Affleck told Variety, “We’re on the right track with that and everything is coming together. We’re still finishing up a script. I’m very excited.“
We recently learned that Justice League 2 has been delayed, so that The Batman could arrive earlier. However, Affleck himself htne said he was in no rush to get the movie done, stating that the larger commitment was to getting it right. Meanwhile, his co-star/foe in the film, Joe Manganiello, has steadily praised the combination of action, character, and cerebral elements that will make The Batman an exceptional movie.
Beyond teases of different elements to the film (like a detective story), there’s precious little we actually know about the storyline. Whether or not it will be based in any way on popular comic book storylines like “Hush” or “Under The Red Hood” remains to be seen – but one thing is for sure, now: fans are psyched for it.
