How far will Barry Allen go to stop his temporal duplicate?

Throughout this season, Savitar has had plenty of opportunities to kill The Flash, but he always took his foot off the gas pedal. And while it seemed as though Savitar was doing this just to toy with the Scarlet Speedster, milking every last drop of revenge he could get for Future Barry trapping him in the Speed Force, we now know that Savitar is the only surviving time remnant of the many that Future Barry created to help him stop Savitar — who was shunned by Team Flash for not being the “real Barry Allen” — after the death of Iris West.
So in order to exist, Savitar needed Barry to stay alive long enough to witness her death, driving him into the darkness, and for one other thing to happen — though Evil Barry wouldn’t divulge what that is.
Aside from the season ending on a cliffhanger that will leave viewers and Team Flash questioning questioning how they will move forward in Season 4, what else can we expect? “There will be an ultimate showdown with Savitar in the finale, but their [battle] isn’t probably quite what you’re expecting,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told EW. “Just because [Savitar] is a version of Barry, it doesn’t play out exactly as people would expect.”
With nothing left to lose, Barry (Grant Gustin) takes on Savitar (also Grant Gustin) in an epic conclusion to season three.
