Warning! Spoilers for tonight’s episode of The Flash lie below.

Tonight, fans of The Flash finally watched as the drama bid farewell to a series of characters. While audiences were glad to see Savitar – AKA Future Barry – go, they were not ready to see other characters fall along the way. “Finish Line” wrapped the show’s third season on a somber note as Harrison Wells sacrificed himself before Barry Allen voluntarily entered the Speed Force. With both men gone, Team Flash is left in shambles, and the Internet has a lot of feelings about the finale’s end.

Social media has been inundated with fan reactions to The Flash, and the sound-off is a mixed bag. Some fans are pleased with the episode’s emotional bombshell; However, others were less-than-enthused by the loss of HR and Barry. The Flash ended with the speedster passing on his mantle to Wally West, an act which should be familiar to comic book fans.

Still, the canon trade-off didn’t hurt any less in live-action. Just ask fans of The Flash, and you will find out why.
