A mother hides her family from slavery in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The children have grown up with a tale of a man known as The Letter Carrier. As the legend goes, he roams the mountains looking for children to sell as slaves. Painted against this historical backdrop, it is a raw, mysterious, and interpretive fable. Told through a cappella song, using original folk music, spirituals and a score using only natural sounds.
The cast features Candus Churchill as Mother, Julia Harnett as Cyra, Tyler Layton-Olson as Boo Rad, Serena Crouse as Twin 1, Mariesa Crouse as Twin 2, Gary Starkell as The Letter Carrier, and Jaelen Harnett as Little Boo Rad.
The film is directed by Jesse L. Martin and Rick Cosnett. Martin wrote the script and the songs. He also executive produced the film, along with Cosnett and fellow Flash star Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), who also worked on musical arrangements. Melissa B. Kle, Liz Dubney, and Patrick Sabongui (who you know as Captain David Singh on The Flash) all served as producers as well.
The Letter Carrier is coming soon!!!
