What We Learned From The Flash's Future News Report
Tonight on The Flash, fans learned that while the long-term history of the DC Universe might not [...]
KILLER FROST
In the news report from the future, "Killer Frost Still at Large" is one of the headlines.
This potentially pays off all the hints in tonight's episode that Caitlin is not fully in control of her powers, of course, and/or the early vibe by Cisco at the start of the season that at one point he will have to fight her while both of them are in costume.
Expect Caitlin's struggle with her powers to continue to be a dominant subplot for the rest of the season.
STAR LABS
"STAR Labs Closes" sounds pretty ominous, given the fact that it's the primary set of the series, right?
Well, maybe not.
In tonight's episode, H.R. Wells waved off concerns about just who was paying for his ambitious museum project, perhaps teasing the idea of money problems fro STAR, which is technically owned by The Flash, down the road.
There's also been speculation among fans that the museum H.R. built will eventually give way to The Flash Museum, an important setting from the comics. Perhaps STAR closing isn't an indication that the setting is going away, but that it's changing to something that Barry has already seen in visions from the multiverse.
MUSIC MEISTER
"Music Meister Gets Six-Figure Book Deal."
When Supergirl and The Flash cross over in March, the foe they face will be Glee's Darren Criss as the Music Meister.
The character, created for Batman: The Brave and the Bold, was originally voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, who was briefly rumored for the role but indicated he had never been approached.

GORILLAS IN THE CITY
"City Reeling After Gorilla Attack" is a pretty obvious one.
Grodd has appeared in at least one episode of each of the first two seasons.
In season 2, the team defeated Grodd by sending him to Earth-2's Gorilla City, but this season it was revealed that Keith David will voice Solivar, the leader of that city and Grodd's mortal enemy in the comics, when Grodd and other intelligent gorillas come back to the show.
...And, apparently, to Earth-1, to bring the fight to Flash.
JOE WEST
"Joe West Honored at City Hall" is, given the fact that he's already a respected detective on the Central City PD, kind of unclear as to what it might mean for the future.
The timing, that Joe would be honored at or around the same time Savitar kills Iris, seems odd.
Some ideas: Joe's honor is related to somehow delivering a major setback to Savitar, and killing Iris is as much revenge toward Joe as toward Barry.
- Joe's honor is related to somehow delivering a major setback to Savitar, and killing Iris is as much revenge toward Joe as toward Barry.
- Savitar still has control over Alchemy/Julian, and is using him; perhaps he, a former hero cop himself, would be able to swing an honor to a particularly decorated colleague to distract the team at a key moment.
