Wonder Woman is wrapping up its first weekend in theaters, but DC Comics fans are already knee-deep in easter eggs. From superhero references to cameos, there are plenty of references for fans to spot in the movie. Some of the nods are overt while others take a bit of hunting – but none are as hard to find as Zack Snyder‘s cameo. Fans learned the Justice League director had a bit in the movie earlier this year, and Snyder is now helping out fans online figure out what his cameo is about.

Taking to Vero, Snyder just posted a close-up photo of his Wonder Woman cameo. “In the trenches with Wonder Woman,” the director captioned the black-and-white photo. In this picture, Snyder is seen dressed as an allied soldier.
News about Snyder’s cameo dropped earlier this year after The Hollywood Reporter caught wind of the surprise. “Look closely, and you might recognize Zack Snyder on the World War I set of Wonder Woman,” the site reported. “He was an extra in the movie.”
This is not the first time Snyder has pulled off a cameo on the big screen. Back in 2004, the director briefly appeared in Dawn of the Dead as a soldier overseeing the White House. A few years later, Snyder then suited up as a solider once more in Watchmen as he fought alongside The Comedian in Vietnam.
Snyder also had a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice though no one would’ve know if it weren’t for Larry Fong. The film’s cinematographer told fans that Snyder can be partially seen in the scene where Batman looks at his cell phone in an underground fight club. So, if you thought Ben Affleck’s hand looked odd in that scene, then that was because it was actually Snyder.
