Last year, Sony revealed its all new God of War game for the first time, making it a tremendous part of its showcase for its pre-E3 press conference. And it looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of it at its next one as well.

Some posters on Twitter have begun pointing out a huge God of War mural that's being painted onto the side of a building in downtown L.A., and while they don't yet reveal the game's release date (and probably won't, since Sony is likely to save it for the actual press conference), it does indicate that it will feature Kratos and his son prominently on the cover, as they work together to battle all sorts of dangerous creatures in a whole new Nordic-style setting.

The first image, as you can see below, shows the God of War mural starting to come together, with the text that's easy to see and the PlayStation 4 logo right above it. From the images below that, you can see the mural coming together even more, featuring Kratos and his son as they stand in front of what appears to be a not-so-dormant mountainside, which will no doubt be filled with danger.

It's still in the works, so we don't have the final mural to post just yet. For the time being, though, Sony is certainly looking to create a few waves with God of War this year, so we should, at the very least, see some new gameplay behind the title – and, again, perhaps that proposed release date, which we're hoping could be this year, but may also be likely for a 2018 arrival.

The game should play a huge part at Sony's booth at Electronic Entertainment Expo as well. It's unknown if it's playable or not, but it will be somewhere on the floor, we're guessing, just to get people excited about what's to come in the next chapter of Kratos' journey. It'll be epic, to say the least, especially if the above gameplay footage, from last year's event, provides any indication.

God of War will release either this year or next year for PlayStation 4.
