Bungie has held a few streams in recent weeks concerning the upcoming Curse of Osiris DLC on the horizon for Destiny 2. Many Guardians were excited to see what new story content was on the way, as well as new post-campaign events slated for season 2. What they weren’t excited for, however, was how underwhelming the new gear seems to be. Bungie says they haven’t even come close to revealing what’s next for the MMO sequel, and a new stream is slated for next week that promises impressive loot to be had by all.

When the first live stream event aired, the video wasn’t even finished playing before players took to the forums to voice their concerns over the visible lack of incentives. For an MMO, leveling and new gear is a large chunk of the reason to play and many pointed out that what’s been revealed so far reveals a severe lacking in rewarding loot.
Next week the Destiny 2 team will detail the systems side of the December update.
It includes: economy updates (vendors & acquiring their gear, tokens, legendary shards), investment updates (new reward systems for weapons & armor) gameplay updates, and more. (1/2)

With the new Raid Lair show, new story missions, new public events – even the return of the beloved Heroic Playlist from the first Destiny, it wasn’t enough to hide the fact there hasn’t been anything to thrilling about drops. This could also be that they haven’t meant ot reveal everything prior to launch, though many are skeptical. Luckily, the next stream will be specifically geared towards what can be earned and the new ways to earn it. Hopefully the reveal will be enough to calm the worries of players world-wide.
Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Curse of Osiris, the game’s first big expansion, is set to drop on December 5th for all platforms effectively closing out season one for good to start the next chapter.
