The team at Game Informer has been doing a great job at covering all the aspects of Call of Duty: WWII, since Activision's game is on the publication's latest cover with an old-style motif. And today, it revealed even more from the game, in the form of new gameplay from the multiplayer portion of it.

In the footage, which you can see here (since we can't embed the video), you'll be able to get a glimpse of fresh new footage from various maps, including Gibraltar, Pointe du Hoc, Ardennes Forest and the War mode within Operation Breakout, which will actually be on hand next week during the game's presentation at Gamescom. The video lasts just over eight minutes and really shows the amount of detail that the developers at Sledgehammer Games are pouring into the game, especially when it comes to sheer intensity.

The footage provides a great look at the company's top-notch map design, while at the same time keeping tried and true to the Call of Duty "boots to the ground" gameplay that fans remember from older games. You can also tell the authenticity of the era with the footage, including the use of old-school weaponry, as well as continuous announcements from your sergeant, who tells you when hardpoints are captured, or when they're in enemy hands. And midway through, you'll also get to see an awesome bomb drop from the sky, nailing a few opponents in the process. It's pretty awesome to watch. (Although not nearly as cool as flying overhead with a plane and letting enemy soldiers have it with a pair of fully stocked AA guns.)

Again, you can see the footage here, and it's worth a watch if you want to see what's going to go down later this month when the Private Multiplayer Beta launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, since you'll likely have access to a number of these maps and tactics. It's best to get your practice in now, because the final game is likely to be very intense.

Oh, and that is a pro player at the controls in this game, though Activision didn't reveal just who it is yet. We'll find out, we suppose, soon enough.

Call of Duty: WWII arrives on November 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
