New Fortnite Rumor Reveals When Biggest Collab of 2025 Should Hit the Item Shop

A new Fortnite rumor has revealed when the most-anticipated collab of 2025 should finally be hitting the Item Shop. By all accounts, 2025 has already been a massive year for Epic’s ever-popular battle royale game, as it has already crossed over with properties like Godzilla, Cowboy Bebop, Invincible, Star Wars, Superman, The Walking Dead, and Daft Punk, just to name a few. And while Fortnite players have loved many of these previous collaborations, it’s one on the horizon this coming month that could be the biggest of them all.

Coming by way of Fortnite insider HYPEX, it has been said that Netflix’s smash-hit animated movie KPop Demon Hunters will soon be appearing in the game. Rumors of KPop Demon Hunters content coming to Fortnite has been gaining traction for months, but in the wake of a new skin for one of the film’s characters leaking, it’s now a foregone conclusion that this clash between the two will be happening. HYPEX claims that this crossover should also be happening quite soon, specifically later this week on October 2nd or October 3rd. Although it’s not yet clear just how many items and accessories from KPop Demon Hunters will be joining Fortnite, skins for the movie’s three main characters, Rumi, Zoey, and Mira, are expected to be the centerpiece of the promotion.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, KPop Demon Hunters has become one of the biggest movies in history since its release back in June. The animated movie didn’t debut in theaters, but was instead exclusive to Netflix, where it shattered virtually all records tied to the streaming platform. In less than six months, KPop Demon Hunters has been viewed over 325,000,000 times and has topped 540,000,000 hours viewed, both of which are all-time records on Netflix. This gargantuan success has prompted Netflix to double down on the property further and greenlight a sequel alongside a whole host of additional plans.

This is all said to stress how truly monumental it will be for KPop Demon Hunters to now land in Fortnite. There’s a good chance that these skins, songs, and other accessories tied to the movie could end up bringing in more money than any other collab that the game has seen so far in 2025. Epic Games never releases sales data like this to inform fans of how its various collabs have performed, but there’s no question that Fortnite players will be spending their V-Bucks in droves once this all arrives in the Item Shop.

If this Fortnite x KPop Demon Hunter collab is indeed slated to kick-off later this week, we should hear about it more in an official capacity in the coming hours or days from Epic. Until then, be sure to keep following our coverage here on ComicBook to stay in the loop.
