If you didn’t buy the asymmetrical multiplayer game when it went on sale last month, you’ll still be able to pick it up now for a bit less than the original price. It’s cost isn’t dropping as low as it did when it was half-off for Jason Voorhees’ big day, but you can still get it for just $30 now, 25 percent off of the original $40 price tag.
The game has been discounted for the PlayStation 4 version and the Xbox One version since the product listing on Amazon is for the physical edition of the game. While it was originally released as a digital purchase, it eventually received a physical release as promised back during its Kickstarter phase. With this physical copy of the game, you’ll also receive some DLC that’s exclusive to the physical edition, a Bloody Jason Skin that you can equip to any Jason variation as well as a clothing pack for the Counselors. The digital version has a separate version of the cosmetic DLC, so you’ll know when playing who’s using which version of Friday the 13th: The Game.
While updates on the game have been quiet for a while with the new Paranoia game mode being previewed and news that the level cap was being raised being some of the most recent developments, IllFonic and Gun Media have much more planned for Friday the 13th: The Game in the future. A new Jason variant from the fourth movie was recently added, and there are plans to add additional counselors along with more kills and DLC. Some of the content is free with other parts requiring you to pay for them, but the DLC costs have been small so far and are purely for cosmetic items that don’t impact balance.
The sale for Friday the 13th: The Game is live now, so get it for yourself or for a friend to play with you before the discounts end.
