To celebrate 7 years of selling discounted video games, the online retailer Green Man Gaming is giving away more deep discounts throughout the week.

Currently on their second day of the week-long anniversary promotion, GMG is now offering the Game of the Year Edition of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor for just $10, half-off, until the end of the day. A new deal will be released on Friday with an additional limited-time deal announced each following day until they meet the end of their 7-day sale period.

Along with the main game being discounted during each day, there exists several other opportunities to cash in on the birthday celebrations. On Thursday, a flash sale occurred where a free PC game was given away to all who participated. Don't feel as though you missed out on nabbing a copy of Prey or a similar big-name game, as most who indulged in the flash sale said that they received pretty much only indie games. Serial deal-tweeter Wario64 participated in the gift-giving, relaying and elaborating on the deal's news via his account and saying that he received Three Dead Zed from the promotion.

Other users confirmed his report of the indie influx by saying that they also received Three Dead Zed or other games such as Corporate Lifestyle Simulator or Huntsman: The Orphanage. They're not the biggest games, but they're still a welcome addition to most gamers' libraries, especially at the low, low price of free. The free PC game deal didn't last too long, as the purchase page for the offer quickly had the "add to basket" option change to "out of stock."

Additional codes offered during the week's special runtime can also save buyers some additional money through 20-percent-off offers and similar deals that will change depending on the day.

While there's no word as to what the future deals will be geared towards, it's best to keep in mind how quickly the free game giveaway expired. Check back in with GMG's site on their "Birthday Deals" page to make sure you don't miss any more flash sales.
