Platinum Games just made a new Japanese Twitter account, and everyone is getting pretty excited about it; not because we think they’re going to send out amazing tweets (they probably will), but because a few choice decorations and retweets seem to indicate that a Bayonetta 1 and 2 port could be in the works for the Nintendo Switch. I don’t think I need to tell you to take this all with a grain of salt but, you know, take this all with a grain of salt. That being said, take a look at this nifty new decorative image they posted:

Do those colors look familiar to you? If you’re Switch-obsessed, then they probably do. More than a few Twitter users noticed that the vibrant blue and red resemble the Neon Joy-Con controllers for the Nintndo Switch, and when someone tweeted out the comparison, Platinum Games even took the time to like and retweet it:

Now look: We’re not saying that this is definitive proof that Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will end up on the Nintendo Switch, but it does add some really colorful fuel to the fire. Bayonetta was recently released on Steam, where PC gamers ate it up. Sega has since launched Vanquish on Steam and that also did very well. Since then, Sega and Platinum Games have been pretty vocal about their intentions to expand the more popular games to be playable by as many gamers as possible. Since the Nintendo Switch is blowing up and Bayonetta 2 was only ever released on the ill-fated Wii U, we figure it’s only a matter of time before the game shows up on the Switch.

Keep in mind, though, that we could still be waiting a while before this happens. From what we hear, however, porting games over to the Nintendo Switch is a faster process than most imagine, though optimizations would obviously need to be made. We’ll keep an eye on Platinum’s social feeds, and we suggest you do the same.
