If you’ve ever wondered what words are said most often about League of Legends champions, these new word clouds should give you an idea of the most common phrases used for four champions.

What makes these even better is that they’re actually examples of data that Riot Games has received as opposed to a fan-made survey or other project. Riot Meddler explained that they pull information from different surveys about champions and use that to see which words show up most often, a system that helps them determine what players think about champs.
“One of the ways we look champion survey data is by aggregating commonly used phrases into what are called word clouds,” Meddler explained. “Examples of a few of those below, since when we’ve mentioned them in the past some people have expressed an interest in seeing some of them. Each word cloud is for a single champion and reflects what players tell us about them when we run surveys in the LoL client.”
Check out the four word clouds below and see if you can’t figure out which champions they’re connected to.
The Word Clouds
Some of these word clouds are easier to pair up with their champions than others, but the third one should be the most obvious of all.
When putting together these word clouds, Meddler said that it helps them look for the defining features of the champions, how different types of players view the champs, and whether the champions’ personalities shine through their ability kits or not. Jinx and Teemo are examples of champs that have their personalities readily apparent through the word clouds, and the example of someone calling Braum “boring” is one of the opinions that they hope to learn of through these projects.
“Not matter how cool or well done you may think a champ is personally, there’s always some group of people who don’t see why they’re even in the game, without exception,” Meddler said on Braum’s “boring” comment. “Helps as a regular reminder that taste is never universal.”
