Today we get our first good glimpse of the super-villain of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. This time, we’ll be facing off against Kang the Conqueror. Kang has perhaps one of the most convoluted set of histories and timelines in the Marvel multiverse as compared to other villains, but that makes him a perfect fit for a game like Marvel Super Heroes 2 which mashes together all kinds of groups, orders, heroes, and agents. Check out the trailer above to learn more about our soon-to-be conqueror.

As you can see from the trailer, this version of Kang seems almost aware of his meta story, and the evil dimension over which he rules bears traces of his former selves. We see hints of not only Kang the Conqueror, but of alternate incarnations like Rama-Tut and the Scarlet Centurian as well. Whether or not Kang will assume these multiple identities in various dimensions depending on which chapter we’re playing in the game is uncertain. That’d be pretty cool, but we think Kang himself will provide enough of a challenge as it is.

You’ll notice at the end of the trailer that all three versions of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, including the Nintendo Switch version, are scheduled to launch on November 14. At first there was a little confusion as to when the Nintendo Switch version would land, but now it appears as though we’ll have launch parity across the board. Pre-ordering the deluxe edition will grant you a Guardians of the Galaxy character pack and the game’s season pass.
