Last week a new Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite story trailer dropped, providing a first glimpse of new characters Jedah, Dormammu, Firebrand, and Ghost Rider, officially rounding out the game’s 30-character roster. That trailer showed what the new characters would look like, it didn’t give much indication of how they’d play – thankfully Capcom has released a new trailer showing all four in action.

Here’s how Capcom describes the trailer:
“Jedah, Firebrand, Dormammu, and the avenging Ghost Rider face off on our latest mixed world – the Dark Dimension! This unearthly realm is the result of Marvel‘s Dark Dimension fusing with Capcom’s Makai Kingdom, and now Jedah wants to rule this all-new demonic realm. Flames, chains and deadly contracts await in our newest gameplay trailer!”
It seems like MvC: Infinite saved some of its best characters for last, as all four of these guys look pretty fun. Ghost Rider of course uses his chains to great effect, and Firebrand appears to be an appropriately frustrating little jerk. Ultimately though, Jedah steals the show – his ultimate attack causes a giant hand to emerge from the floor, smash his opponent to smithereens, then splatter them onto a giant contract. Seems like Marvel vs. Capcom is taking notes from NetherRealm and their trademark over-the-top finishers.
The trailer also shows off a couple new Soul Stones, which are special power ups that can be used for various purposes. One steals your opponent’s life, and the other will revive a fallen teammate. It will be interesting to see how people respond to this mechanic.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite brawls onto PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on September 19. You can check out WWG’s latest coverage of the game, right here.
