Middle-Earth: Shadow of War arrives this Tuesday, and it’s chock full of amazing stuff to do, from enlisting Orcs to join your team and help fight in your cause, to the Nemesis system that will keep you busy with potential targets, to full-on castle raids that will have you feeling like an unstoppable warrior.

But apparently, the game is loaded with some humorous references as well, although you’ll probably have to be quick to catch them all.

PlayStation Lifestyle recently posted a video clip from the sequel, featuring your character firing away at a target before making his way through an Orc village. After taking a few fateful shots from his bow, he manages to flip his way over to another building, and you can actually hear the Orcs talking below him.

The clip is above, but it’s pretty easy to make out two key words in the Orcs’ conversation: “Assassin” and “Creed”. They say, “I’m an assassin!” followed up by “We all are! It’s like a creed!”

This is a fun little Easter egg tossed in by Monolith, as sort of a “tip of the hat” to its competitors over at Ubisoft. Since its release a few years back, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor has gotten a few comparisons to the Assassin’s Creed series for movement and some of its stylish kills, so the developer is more than likely just acknowledging the series in a friendly manner.

There’s a good chance there are more of these Easter eggs to find within Shadow of War, especially given its immense size and its varying missions. The only question is, what other games could possibly get referenced? Could we possibly hear a Batman: Arkham Knight joke? Or maybe even something that points more towards a current release? We’ll have to play through the game to find out, but knowing Monolith, it could throw in all sorts of jokes. Hell, we’d be happy with a reference to the multiplayer shoot-em-up Gotham City Impostors. But for now, Creed will definitely do.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War releases on October 10th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
