Specifically, the Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man superdrop features five sets: Daily Bugle Breaking News, Heroic Deeds, Villainous Plots, Venom Unleashed, and Mana Symbiote. Each of these new sets features card treatments that can only be found through these limited drops.

What Are the New Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man Superdrops?

First revealed during the Spider-Man set’s debut, the Daily Bugle Breaking News superdrop features five staples in the form of front-page headlines of Spider-Manโ€™s in-universe newspaper, the Daily Bugle. This frame treatment is exclusive to this Secret Lair set, so anyone who wants to throw in these versions of Blasphemous Act or Scheming Symmetry into one of their Spider-Man decks will need to pick up this drop. The Non-foil set will cost $29.99, while the Rainbow foil set costs $39.99.

Here is everything included in the Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man: Daily Bugle Breaking News drop:

  • 1x Fact or Fiction
  • 1x Frantic Search
  • 1x Scheming Symmetry
  • 1x Blasphemous Act
  • 1x Impact Tremors.

The next sets are Heroic Deeds and Villainous Plots, each of which includes three Commander staples: Command Tower, Lightning Greaves, and Sol Ring. However, Heroic Deeds features Ephemerate and Three Visits, while Villainous Plots features Deadly Dispute and Go for the Throat. All of the art from these drops is from artists featured in Marvel comics, including Todd Nauck, Elena Casagrande, Lucas Werneck, Swayart, Terry Dodson, Roberta Ingranata, and Kael Ngu. For both Villainous Plots and Heroic Deeds, the non-foil set will cost $29.99, and the rainbow foil set costs $39.99.

Here is everything included in both the Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man: Heroic Deeds and Villainous Plots sets:

  • 1x Lightning Greaves
  • 1x Sol Ring
  • 1x Command Tower
  • 1x Ephemerate (Heroic Deeds only)
  • 1x Three Visits (Heroic Deeds only)
  • 1x Damnation (Villainous Plots only)
  • 1x Dark Ritual (Villainous Plots only)

One of the most exciting Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man drops is the Venom Unleashed set. Available in color or ink variants, this set puts the spotlight on the beloved Marvel anti-hero Venom. Even more exciting, the entire set features art from Mark Bagley, the artist behind one of the heroes’ most iconic comic book runs of all time, Ultimate Spider-Man.

If that wasnโ€™t enough, the cards alone are pretty great in this set and worth the price tag for players who can get their hands on them. The card Damnation, which is in this Venom-centric set, typically goes for $20 to $30. As both the color and ink variants of this set go for $29.99 for the non-foil set and $39.99 for the rainbow foil set, this seems like a good buy for players.

Here is everything included in the Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man: Venom Unleashed set:

  • 1x Damnation
  • 1x Dark Ritual
  • 1x Peer into the Abyss
  • 1x Surgical Extraction
  • 1x Tendrils of Agony

Last, but not least is another Venom-themed set. The Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man: Mana Symbiote set features a special raised foil card treatment that accentuates the symbiote against its dark silver background, and puts a colored mana symbol smack dab in the middle. Including two cards for each land type, this set goes for $59.99.

All of these Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man superdrops launch on September 22nd and will be available to order only on MagicSecretLair.com. These drops are typically very limited and sell out fairly quickly, so anyone interested will want to mark their calendars if they donโ€™t want to miss out on these new sets.
