We get some great game bundles here in the good ol’ U.S., including the Destiny 2 PlayStation 4 Pro pack that’s making the rounds, along with the forthcoming Minecraft system bundle from Microsoft. But there are also quite a few that we miss out on, probably because we aren’t the key market for certain bundles on the market.
Take Canada, for instance. Not one but two special sports bundles are making their way to retail stores this week, enabling fans to get their gaming on with special system packages featuring said games.

EA Sports, for instance, will launch a special NHL 18 PlayStation 4 bundle that will launch in Canada on September 15th. Selling for $379.99, the bundle will include the game, a DualShock 4 controller, and a 1TB PlayStation 4 system. Not that there’s anything special about the system itself (no hockey designs or something along those lines), but still pretty neat for hockey fans that want to celebrate with hockey right out of the box.
If that’s not enough, basketball fans will be able to celebrate with a special bundle as well. 2K Sports has confirmed that a special PlayStation 4 bundle for NBA 2K18 will also be available this Friday, retailing for $379.99 Canadian dollars. The bundle comes with the Early Tip Off Edition of NBA 2K18, along with a 1TB PlayStation 4 system and a DualShock 4 controller. Again, no special designs, but ideal for those of you that don’t have a system yet, but totally want one.
Of course, you could just go to your local electronics store and pick up a PlayStation 4 system and the game of your choice for about the same price and still enjoy everything that they have to offer, so it’s not the end of the world if you don’t get a custom bundle. Still, there’s something cool about having the game logo printed on the box, and maybe keeping it around for collector’s purposes. Especially if you’re a hockey or basketball fan and your favorite star is on the cover.
NHL 18 releases on September 15th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while NBA 2K18 will release on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch on September 19th. (An Early Tip Off edition is available on September 15th if you pre-order!)
