Some players in Russia will get the chance to catch two of Pokemon Go‘s newest Legendary Pokemon this month. Earlier this week, Pokemon Go announced that Suicune, Raikou, and Entei would all appear in the game as roaming Legendary Pokemon that moved from continent to continent each month. Raikou will appear in North and South America during the month of September, while Suicune is fighting trainers in Asia and Australia and Entei is in Europe and Africa.

However, one Russian city seemingly sits on Pokemon Go‘s continental divide, which means that it gets both Entei and Suicune in one month. Players on /r/TheSilphRoad have noticed that the Russian city of Naberezhnye Chelny spawns both Suicune and Entei in different parts of the city. While Suicune spawns on the east side of the city, Entei spawns closer to the Kama River, which forms part of the city’s western border.
Naberezhnye Chelny actually sits a fair distance west of the continental divide between Asia and Europe. While the Ural Mountain range marks the “official” boundary between Asia and Europe, Naberezhnye Chelny is about 500 kilometers away from that mountain range.
Based on Naberezhnye Chelny’s location, it appears that Pokemon Go‘s unofficial continental divide is located at 52.3721 degrees E….which doesn’t actually line up with any other cities in either Europe, Africa, or the Middle East.
So far, players haven’t found Pokemon Go‘s continental divide between Asia and the Americas, although that might be a little more difficult to find since there’s a giant ocean between them.
If you want the chance to catch two Legendary Pokemon at once, you might want to travel toNaberezhnye Chelny sometime this month. The city has over 500,000 people, so there’s a good chance you could find at least a few Pokemon Go players.
