Rocket League is about to get a huge boost in visibility thanks to a newly announced partnership with WWE. Psyonix revealed today that Rocket League will be a presenting partner of two huge pay-per-view WWE events: Sunday's Backlash, and Great Balls of Fire, airing on Sunday, July 9.
It was also announced that Rocket League would be a promotional partner during WWE's biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam, on Sunday, August 20. Rocket League promotional footage will be airing across all of WWE's global platforms spanning television (including pay-per-view), digital, and social media. You can also expect Rocket League to show up during Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.
“The integrated partnership with Psyonix will provide Rocket League with an opportunity to utilize WWE’s global platforms and reach our passionate fan base, many of whom are avid gamers,” said John Brody, WWE Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Partnerships. “We look forward to working with Rocket League as we collectively build customized one-stop shopping programs to reach their consumers.”

As if that weren't enough, Pysonix also announced a partnership with Xavier Woods and the rest of the crew at UpUpDownDown, a WWE YouTube channel focused on curating original, exclusive gaming content. Rocket League will also be a presenting partner of the newly-annoucned WWE Woman's Tournament, "where for the first time in WWE history, 32 of the top female competitors from 17 countries will participate in a tournament this summer airing on WWE Network."
This is a huge step forward for Psyonix and the Rocket League community as a whole, which already boasts over 31 million players. As a highly accessible and highly competitive game, we expect tremendous feedback and resonance with WWE fans, bringing Rocket League to an even larger global audience.
