Skyrim Together - New Skyrim Multiplayer Mod Launching Soon
It seems that every month we are getting something new in relation to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, [...]
Though there was Tamriel Online, a mod with this specific purpose in mind, it was very limited in its capacity with a slow progression with its development. The new mod that is on its way, Skyrim Together, aims to do what Tamriel Online couldn't and provide a more expansive multiplayer experience for those intrigued by the idea.
Skryim Together is in its final stages of polishing and aims to be fully released in October. Since the team is hard at work on smoothing out a few kinks still left in its programming, that date could possibly change but it looks like that is the doable aim for now.
For those interested in the delicate work that went into this, the small team behind the upcoming co-op mod has an extensive "To-Do List" that highlights each milestone during development.
More about Skyrim Together
Though the team does have a Patreon set up for those that wish to support their efforts, this mod will be entirely free-to-play. They even gave a detailed outline on what the funds donated by users will be allocated for, including dedicated servers, a domain name, SSL certificates, and more.
As far as when this content will be released, this was the official statement released, though it was stated that October is the end-goal:
"While we would like to release on a regular basis, this mod is being worked on when we have free time or during hackathons, it is impossible for us to release on a fixed schedule as what we do is very experimental. We hope to release the first stable version of the mod during the year 2017 and hope to release multiple alphas and betas during this year."
