So very often with franchises of its size, Star Wars crosses over with other hobbies and fandoms almost seamlessly. Whether it's cosplay, prop making or collecting, there's always something secondary for Star Wars fans to get into (or, in that rare, special case: for hobbyists to bridge into becoming fans of the saga themselves). But Star Wars has always had a special relationship with gaming, with titles dating back to some of the earliest consoles in video game history.

Star Wars, like video games, has become an integral part of or culture, and with the recent release of Star Wars: Battlefront II -- as well as the upcoming debut of The Last Jedi -- fans of both the franchise and gaming are still as vocal and present as ever. With the oncoming season of good tidings and gift giving in mind, we've put together a list of gifts that range in price and make great additions to any gamer's Star Wars collection.

Star Wars: Battlefront II ($60)

Star

For better or for worse, Battlefront II has become one of this year's most talked-about titles. The game delivers not only on the multiplayer action that the first Battlefront is loved for, but also an interesting linear storyline that puts the player in the shoes of famous characters throughout the Star Wars saga. Available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Battlefront II: Inferno Squad by Christie Golden (Hardcover - $18.97)

This prequel to the game above introduced several fans to protagonist Iden Versio early, and is a fantastic companion to the game's story. Tiny bits of information that have to do with The Last Jedi are peppered into this story, but it primarily focuses on the formation of Versio's infamous Inferno Squad, who are at the center of Battlefront II's in-game storyline. This novel is Golden's second major entry into the Star Wars universe, and it's a good one.

Jedi Challenges ($199.99)

Lenovo's Jedi Challenges puts the Hero Lightsaber in the players' hands and gets them on their feet for an all-out battle -- or a super chill game of Holochess. The full package includes one lightsaber controller, a Lenovo Mirage AR Headset, and a tracking beacon. With all of this, eager Star Wars fans can take on waves of troops in a strategic built-in game, fight one-on-one with some of the saga's greatest villains, and yes, play an actual game of Holochess, thankfully not against a Wookiee.

Disney Infinity Figurines - (Prices Vary)

Looking for a super easy stocking stuffer? While Disney Infinity in all of its forms may no longer be continuing, the stylish collectible figurines are on sale almost everywhere now. If you're looking for well-crafted collectibles at a low, low price, check eBay and Amazon for Disney Infinity figures from throughout the entire Star Wars saga, including era-specific playsets and almost the entire primary cast of Star Wars Rebels.

iHome Star Wars Episode VII Bluetooth Headphones ($39.99)

While it's more of a casual headset, this new Star Wars offering shines in the bright blood red of the First Order, and is equipped with a built-in mic for commentary. The battery is said to last up to 12 hours and can reach 30 feet in distance before things start to sound like the inside of a Stormtrooper helmet. Grab this for the aspiring Sith Lord in your life.

Spinmaster BB-8 ($200)

Likely another major seller this season, the Spinmaster BB-8 sits at about 19 inches tall -- making it just about half the size of the on-set ball droid from the new Star Wars films. Fans of the saga have long built their own droids (another hobby within the fandom) with the goal of some day owning droids that function on their own, and this little guy brings us one step closer to the commercial version of that. The droid will automatically follow its controller anywhere (literally - if you have the controller in your hand, you can put BB-8 on autopilot and it will roll by your side) and comes with plenty of automatic reactions, as well as a manual mode, among tons of other great perks. This might be the right investment for the nerdy parents who isn't quite ready to get the puppy that their youngling asked for this year.

App-Enabled Droids (Prices Vary)

Not really into the idea of the Spinmaster? Sphero's compact app-enabled droids offer a small and easy to use alternative that even reacts to Star Wars films if you let them watch along with you. What was once a hit offering with the Sphero BB-8 has now developed into a full line of droids that includes BB-8, R2-D2, and their dark counterparts BB-9E and R2-Q5. The original BB-8 is currently available for $99, with the rest of the line on sale for $129.99.
