Following Episode 8 of The Last of Us, ET and ComicBook‘s The Last of Pods podcast hosted Ellie actor Bella Ramsey for an exclusive interview about the HBO series. ET‘s Ash Crossan and ComicBook‘s Brandon Davis kicked off the episode by reacting to the latest hour of the apocalyptic video game adaptation before bringing Ramsey into the conversation, virtually. Ramsey started at the beginning, discussing the experience of becoming Ellie in live-action before focusing the conversation on the horrifying moments in Sunday night’s episode of The Last of Us. New episodes of The Last of Pods broadcast on the ComicBook YouTube channel following episodes of The Last of Us and later on Paramount+’s Mixible channel.
“Well, my whole Last of Us experience has been so tied to Pedro [Pascal,] so to then find how to… I don’t know how to function on set without him, it was weird,” Ramsey said of Episode 7 and 8 which called for her to be on set mostly without the Joel Miller actor. who she typically works with. “I had withdrawal symptoms from being around him all the time. His stupid jokes, and him playing Xanadu on his phone endlessly. Yeah, it was a weird change, and I missed him. I really, really, really missed him, which I think actually worked for the episode. And it made me also appreciate him even more when he was back.”
