Top Destiny 2 Plays of the Week – The Epic, the Bold, the Hilarious

Destiny 2 is in full swing for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players, and as the game continues to grow in content; the players continue to show off their epic clips. Whether it’s an epic takedown, or a hilarious fail as seen in our previous week’s picks, here are the three top clips chose by Bungie as part of their “Reel ’em in” segment.

This week brings a metal musical cover, a “Make Your Hands Clap” compilation with the Leviathan raid boss; Emperor Calus, and a “Most Titan Moment Ever” that will make every Titan main cheer from the sidelines. Let’s break it down:

Destiny 2 The Journey Metal Cover – Winner

The first clip, and Bungie’s chosen winner, includes a musical number by one talented guitarist. One Guardian took his love of Destiny 2 out into the real world with his metal cover of the Destiny 2 OST “The Journey” track. It’s impressive, oddly soothing, and instantly makes us want to grab the nearest controller and settle in to grind. Check out this beautiful re-imagining of the song from YouTuber GamexCore here:

Calus Makes Your Hands Clap

The Leviathan raid is brutal. Really, really brutal. And though one fireteam managed to do the impossible and beat the raid boss in four minutes, the rest of us haven’t been as lucky. To ease the struggle of taking down Emperor Calus, one player did a remix of the epic takedown with a timely rendition of “HandClap,” which Calus himself seems to really be enjoying. It must be hard being the last Cabal Emperor, and going against Ghaul can be exhausting – can you blame the guy for wanting to get a little jiggy with it?

Most Titan Moment Ever

Though not this week’s winner, this next clip is definitely impressive in its own right. Titans are known for being powerhouses so what better way to take down a powerful foe than to just beat it to death with your own hands? In what’s aptly titled “The most Titan moment ever,” the final clip of the week will have all Titan mans cheering “You’re my boy blue” from behind their screens.

The final clip comes courtesy of YouTuber ShadowMasater862 and it will almost make you feel bad for the yellow-bar Vex Hydra … almost.
