What Time Hades 2 Releases on PC & Nintendo Switch

Hades 2 is poised to launch on September 25th as a console exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Along with these platforms, PC will also receive the highly anticipated follow-up to Supergiant Games’ Hades. The sequel comes five years after the original title and follows Melinoe, a princess of Hades, in her quest against Cronus, the Titan of Time. While the release date has been revealed, fans are eager to learn exactly what time the game releases and when they can begin playing the full release of Hades 2.

When Hades 2 is available to play depends on your region and timezone. There is no global release time, which means the New Zealand trick of switching your timezone to this region will not work. Instead, you simply need to wait until the appropriate time before the game launches simultaneously worldwide. Here is exactly when Hades 2 leaves early access and launches in full.

Can You Preload Hades 2?

There has been no official confirmation whether or not you can pre-load Hades 2 at this time. While the game is available for pre-order, players do not seem to be able to pre-load the game on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Players will need to wait until the game is available before it is, unless Supergiant Games changes this plan.

That said, considering Hades 2 has been available in early access for quite some time, this essentially allows PC players to pre-load the game simply by having it installed already. But even with this, the update to full release will still occur. The best option is to leave the Steam update and ensure you have your settings enabled to allow automatic downloads.

Does Hades 2 Have a Physical Version?

Hades 2

There is a physical version for Hades 2, but it will not be available on the September 25th release date. Additionally, the only physical edition is for the Nintendo Switch 2, but this includes the game for the original Nintendo Switch on the same cartridge. In addition to the game, it comes with a full-color Character Compendium booklet with artwork from the game, a download code for the Hades II Original Soundtrack, and a reversible cover. It is marked at $49.99 rather than the digital version’s $29.99.
