Microsoft no doubt had the biggest E3 press conference yet, with over 40 (!) new games revealed for the Xbox One X, as well as a release date and price for the company’s new hardware. We’ve already recapped a good amount of these games for you, but, surprise, there might have been a few that you may have missed, just because the showcase was so chock full of amazing games that are coming from Microsoft and third party developers.

So we’ve recapped the whole show for you, which you can find right here in our helpful recap. Whether you’re into big games or prefer something more on the indie side, there’s something here for you.
We’ll start off with the bigger games that were featured in the show, and then run down the other titles that you may have missed. We’ve got a full list here, so hang on tight!
Forza Motorsport 7
While the latest effort from Turn 10 Studios is hardly a surprise โ it’s been rumored for several months now โ Forza Motorsport 7 came screaming right out of the gate with its first gameplay footage. This is easily the best-looking Forza game that we’ve seen to date, with its life-like visuals running at a solid 60 FPS on the Xbox One X hardware, as well as stupendous car models, weather details and track design. On top of that, Turn 10’s signature multiplayer is bound to make a return, so you can challenge your friends and Drivatars and prove who is, in fact, the king โ or queen โ of the road. We’ll see who rules the race when the game arrives on October 3rd.
Metro: Exodus
The newest entry in the Metro series from 4A Games and Deep Silver is a pretty damn big deal. After all, previous entries have been just as much about telling a wondrous (yet dark) story, while at the same time delivering intense first-person shooting gameplay. Metro: Exodus, the latest in the series, looks to be the deepest yet, with its variety of weaponry, larger-than-life territory (both inside and outside) and dangerous collective of monsters. It looks to be a hell of a follow-up, and probably Artyom’s most challenging venture to date. We’ll find out just how great it is when it arrives next year for Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 4 and PC.
Assassinโs Creed: Origins
Again, hardly a great surprise, since it’s been teased for months and actually revealed over the weekend, thanks to a new issue from Game Informer. But we’re nevertheless by the broad scope of what Assassin’s Creed: Origins has to offer, with its new hero that ties in with the creation of the brotherhood that we’ve come to understand over the years. With a variety of great tools at your disposal โ as well as the ability to stylishly kill your targets in a number of ways โ this looks to be a proper return to form for Creed. Plus, the new Egyptian setting should be excellent when it comes to providing new territory for you to scope out. We’ll see how it fares when it arrives on October 27th for Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 4 and PC.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
This is a very big deal for the Dragon Ball franchise, as most fans have been requesting Bandai Namco to produce a stellar 2D fighting entry in the series, rather than the usual 3D brawlers that we’ve seen over the past few years. Developed alongside the team at Arc System Works, FighterZ looks extremely promising, with its hand-drawn visuals and its 2D fighting style, which is a signature for a company like Arc with its Guilty Gear games. Throw in some crazy, over-the-top moves and a variety of characters that will fit right in to this universe, and this should easily be one of 2018’s best fighting games. Kamehameha!
Crackdown 3
We’re not sure what grabs us more about the trailer that was featured for Crackdown 3 โ the fact that it has the kind of chaotic action we’ve come to expect from the series, or the fact that it’s enlisted Terry Crews in it. Either way, we’re all in for this sequel, which features all kinds of shoot-em-up action as you wrangle up criminals using your super-suit capabilities. What’s more, the multiplayer should play a big part in how well you play alongside your friends, especially when you start throwing cars around. Look for this one on November 7th, when we’ll be holding our own car-throwing party. It’s a new thing.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
The world of Middle-Earth has never looked bigger than it does in this forthcoming sequel, which is set to arrive on October 10th. The scope of Shadow of Mordor improves immensely here, with more Orcs to kill, which means a much bigger Nemesis system. On top of that, there’s far more to explore here, as well as plenty of blood kills to rack up, including your usual and not-so-usual beheadings. There’s going to be a ton of stuff for players to dig into here, and the extended footage we saw at the Xbox press conference was just the beginning, as we’ll see even more from the show floor over the next few days.
Anthem
Seeing BioWare, Electronic Arts and Microsoft team together for an epic Xbox One X experience like Anthem is really something. In this game, you run around a massive open world in mech suits, taking on whatever enemies come your way as a team. You’ll have a variety of weapons at your disposal as you take on foes both big and small, and you can call upon team members to lend you a hand with the occasional mortar or two. The graphics look really good thus far, though we have yet to see more of the gameplay in action. We won’t have to wait too long, though, as it’s due for release sometime in 2018 โ which means we’ll get more BioWare love sooner rather than later.
