Oh, and the new Thor footage totally houses easter eggs for a few favorite Marvel heroes.

The new trailer houses a landscape shot of the Grandmaster’s tower as it looks on Sakaar. The quick glimpse shows fans that the Elder’s home is bolstered by several large busts sculpted out of metal. And, when you looked at closely, fans can see the sculptures are of characters like Beta Ray Bill (via CBN).

As you can see in the image below, Marvel heroes like Beta Ray Bill, Ares, Man-Thing, and Bi-Beast are all nestled into the Grandmaster’s tower. There are two unidentifiable busts in the clip, but fans are sure to suss out their identities once they have a better close-up shot.

If you are not familiar with the classic Marvel characters, then you can read up on them if you have a few hours to spare. Beta Ray Bill is a notable figure from Thor’s past as he becomes an ally to the God of Thunder and even is able to wield Mjolnir.

As for Man-Thing, the character debuted decades ago when Dr. Theodore Sallis found himself turned into a lumbering planet creature after crashing into a chemical-laced swamp. The biochemist used his mystical powers to take on demons and even team-up with Howard the Duck of all people.

Bi-Beast is a lesser-known figure in the Marvel Universe, but they have their ties solidly rooted in canon. Bi-Beast is an acquaintance of the Hulk’s as the huge android tended to fight with Bruce Banner. As for Ares, the character appeared as a common enemy of both Thor and Hercules, and he savors warfare as much as his mythological counterpart.
