Daisy explains the situation, Coulson. He takes it well because he’s also a conspiracy theorist in the Framework, and also because the TAHITI project lets him remember certain things. Ward calls Daisy to tell her that something big is going down and that Hydra is coming for Coulson.

Mack and his daughter, Hope, are working on drones. Hope used parts from a Hydra drone she found in the park, which makes Mack upset. At the bus stop, Hydra arrives at their bus stop and begins checking identification and looking for contraband. Hope is worried about the drone in her bag, but someone else makes a run for it. The man is taken away for being a potential Inhuman.
Daisy brings Coulson back to her apartment, where Simmons is waiting. Daisy and Simmons debate whether they should trust Grant Ward and what to do about Fitz. They mention Radcliffe, and Coulson bring out a newspaper article about Radcliffe working on an Inhuman cure, but Radcliffe has gone missing.
Fitz is still concerned about why Ophelia/Aida/Madame Hydra isn’t letting him help with the subversive hunt. Finally, she shows him that they’re hunting Simmons. Fitz says he’ll send his team to eliminate Simmons. He tells Ophelia that he’d cross the universe for her.

Daisy returns to the Hydra office to look for info on Radcliffe. She hacks into Madame Hydra’s restricted files, gets the info, and leaves with Ward. May catches up with them and takes Daisy in. She passes the information to Ward and tells him to get it to Simmons.
Simmons and Coulson meet with a resistance contact and are shackled and hooded so that they can be taken to the Resistance base. The base is the SHIELD underground headquarters that SHIELD has been using in the real world and they’re introduced to Jeffrey Mace, the Patriot, the Inhumans leader of the Resistance. Mace found the headquarter after Billy Koenig gave his life getting the location to him. He shows them a wall of names of agents who died in the early days of the resistance. Agent Burroughs reports another loss to Mace. Coulson and Simmons find a room for of potential Inhumans or their families. Ward arrives.
Fitz has selected May and Daisy to be part of the team hunting down Simmons.
Mack has an awkward conversation with Hope about Inhumans and how they’re treated in society.
Simmons uses her SHIELD ID and “death” at the academy to earn some trust from Mace and Ward. Simmons notes that Daisy’s coordinates are east of Bermuda where nothing should be. Mace can’t spare a team, but Coulson and Ward’s volunteer to go with Simmons.
May and Daisy’s Hydra squad raid Mack’s home and take him and Hope into custody.
Coulson, Simmons, and Ward enter a Quinjet, the one the resistance has, to head to the coordinates.
May interrogates Mack.
Ward apologizes for leaving Skye behind. Coulson is having doubts about whether he belongs on their mission, but Simmons assures him he’s where he’s meant to be.
Fitz discovers that Simmons was executed at the academy and asks Madame Hydra about it. Ophelia tells him that Simmons crossed over from the other side, which they believed was impossible. Fitz wants to know about Ophelia’s time on the “other side.” She tells him that SHIELD won the war and that she was treated as less than human. That’s why she need Fitz’ “Project Looking Glass,” so that she can go back and defeat them.
Daisy questions Hope. Hope begs Daisy to not let anything happen to Mack. She compares notes with May. When May walks away, Daisy sneaks into Mack’s interrogation room. Mack calls her Daisy Johnson and says they’re both SHIELD agents. Mack pretends like he knows her and remembers SHIELD, but it’s a ploy to get her to confess. May and a team of Hydra agents come after Daisy. She tries to escape and loses them.

Ward, Simmons, and Coulson arm themselves and disembark the Quinjet. They find Radcliffe playing croquet in his yard. He says they shouldn’t be there, and he seems to remember the other world, but he tells them there is no escape.
Daisy gets in an elevator full of Hydra agents, take them down, and walks out with their gear and a weapon. However, May’s group catches up with her and take her in.
Fitz is telling them that there’s no escape and he can’t leave. Ward notices someone in the background. Radcliffe tells them that she and he are both already dead in the real world and can only exist in the Framework. He tells them where they’re being kept in the real world. Simmons tells them they can’t get out how they came in and Radcliffe becomes worried because it means she knows they’re there. Just then an aircraft that looks like the Zephyr One touches down and Madame Hydra, Fitz, and a team of Hydra soldier disembark.
Radcliffe and Aida argue about what she’s turned the Framework into. She becomes angry when Radcliffe calls her Aida. Fitz finds Agnes and brings her to Madame Hydra.
Mack is reunited with Hope. Daisy is dragged by to the interrogation room, beaten and broken. May thanks Mack for his service to Hydra and Mack Hails Hydra in return.
Madame Hydra tells Fitz that Radcliffe is from the other side and enslaved her and that he’s going to replace her with Agnes. Fitz takes a gun and points it at Agnes and tells Radcliffe to convince him she’s not a threat. Ward aims his sniper rifle at Fitz and prepares to fire. Simmons tries to convince him that they need Fitz. Fitz wants Radcliffe to explain how they know each other. Madame Hydra tries to convince Fitz to leave, but he listened as Radcliffe tells him about their relationship, Aida, and Fitz’s love for Simmons. Fitz insists that he knows exactly who he is and shoots Agnes through the heart. Simmons cries out and a firefight begins. Ward, Simmons, and Coulson retreat to the Quinjet to escape. Simmons is in shock over what Simmons did and Coulson comforts her.
They return to SHIELD base and try to explain the situation. Mack is taken into the base and tells them about what happened to Daisy. He says that today, for the first time, he couldn’t look his daughter in the eye and he wants to make that right by helping.
Daisy is in her cell and can hear Radcliffe being tortured outside. Fitz enters the cell and Daisy tries to explain, but Fitz isn’t impressed. He tells her he’s discovered she’s a potential Inhuman. He brings her out for torture next.
