So far, there are very few details out surrounding the storyline for the Ant-Man sequel, but Greer’s return gives fans some clues. The film will likely check in on Scott Lang’s ex-wife as she is the carer for their young daughter Cassie. Since Ant-Man And The Wasp will be set after Captain America: Civil War, the film may very well touch on Maggie’s reaction to Scott and his involvement with Captain America during the Sokovia Accords rift.

Of course, Greer’s return isn’t the only recent casting news to come from the Ant-Man sequel. SDCC saw Marvel Studios confirm a major casting update when it announced Michelle Pfeiffer would play Janet Van Dyne in the movie. Other stars like Laurence Fishburne will also star in Ant-Man And The Wasp as the actor was tapped to play Dr. Bill Foster, a man better known as Black Goliath.

Fans are excited to see how Ant-Man And The Wasp will follow up from its first installment, and the Internet is buzzing about Janet Van Dyne’s role. The heroine is one of the most famous members of the Avengers, and her comic book history is a lengthy one. The first Ant-Man movie failed to include the heroine as Janet was trapped in the Quantum Realm years before the film began during a mission. Ant-Man And The Wasp will likely follow Dr. Hank Pym as the scientist finds a way to rescue his wife, and fans hope Janet will get a sizable role in the sequel as such.

In Ant-Man, forced out of his own company by former protรฉgรฉ Darren Cross, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) recruits the talents of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a master thief just released from prison. Lang becomes Ant-Man, trained by Pym and armed with a suit that allows him to shrink in size, possess superhuman strength and control an army of ants. The miniature hero must use his new skills to prevent Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, from perfecting the same technology and using it as a weapon for evil.

Ant-Man was directed by Peyton Reed, with a screenplay by Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish and Adam McKay & Paul Rudd, and stars Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peรฑa, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Anthony Mackie, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, and Michael Douglas.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is again directed by Peyton Reed, with Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Farrari providing the screenplay and Adam McKay and Paul Rudd providing the story. The film stars Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne/The Wasp), Michael Pena (Luis), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), T.I. (Dave), Hannah John-Kamen, and David Dastmalchian (Kurt).
