It appears that nothing – not even a feud about a sea lion – can get between the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s fan-favorite Science Bros.

Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk in the MCU, took to Twitter earlier today to share a photo of him and Robert Downey Jr, who portrays Tony Stark/Iron Man.
The photo shows Downey Jr. kissing Ruffalo’s cheek, with the hashtag ‘#ScienceBrosBeforeSeaLions’ as the caption.

Fans of the pair – and the dynamic between their characters – will quickly recognize the photo, which was shared on Downey Jr.’s Facebook page a little over a week ago. Downey Jr.’s initial post sparked the hashtag, with the actor joking that he felt “betrayed” by a recent photo of Ruffalo getting a cheek kiss from a sea lion.
All joking about sea lions aside, the photo of Ruffalo and Downey Jr. appears to have been taken on the set of Avengers: Infinity War. A truck filled with various technical equipment can be seen in the background, and their outfits – even the Tony Stark-style sunglasses Ruffalo appears to be borrowing – look like something their characters would wear onscreen.
Judging by early reports, fans of the Science Bros will have plenty of new scenes to look forward to in Infinity War. The pair recently posed for another photo while on set together, and have been seen filming alongside Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange) and Benedict Wong (Wong). Early speculation even suggests that the duo could have a hand in bringing Marvel Comics’ Illuminati to life onscreen.
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
