Make no mistake: there has never been a movie like Avengers: Infinity War. Fan anticipation for the film is already at a fever pitch, despite it being more than a year (and four MCU movies) away, sitting at the top of the ComicBook.com rankings with 4.56 out of 5. The first of its kind, the currently-filming Marvel Studios epic is the first of two films that are closely linked and shooting back-to-back. The movie is also the culmination of ten years and twenty movies, and brings together the casts of all of those films for one massive adventure and showdown. Despite that, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has promised a personal story that’s character-first. That was echoed in the special features of Doctor Strange home release, where crew talked about the upcoming film, including producer Jeremy Latcham.

“Despite all the new bells and whistles, and all the new people that want to come play, and all the excitement, the actors that want to do it, and everything else, the fundamental way we make a movie, I don’t think has changed. The room that we sit in, the cards on the walls, the arguments we have, the laughs that we have, the disagreements that we have,” Latcham said.
At its core, every MCU movie is made with three questions in mind, he revealed.
“[We’re] honest about: does this work? Is this good for the character? Does it give me a good feeling when I watch it? And that’s all that matters,” the EP said definitively.
Now, a “good feeling” doesn’t necessarily mean happiness – it just means that the emotion of the scene plays out in a way that accurately reflects in the emotion it elicits from the audience; don’t expect a happy-go-lucky Avengers movie when it comes to Infinity War and its still untitled sequel.
