Marvel Releases 'Avengers: No Surrender' Trailer

The Avengers are approaching the end of an era and Marvel Comics just released the trailer.

Marvel has released the trailer for Avengers: No Surrender, the upcoming weekly event running in the pages of Avengers that will bring the Avengers squads featured in Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, and USAvengers together to face a threat no one Avengers team could face alone.

"'No Surrender' is kind of both a rallying cry for what the Avengers are facing and kind of a statement of fact," says Marvel Comics' senior vice president of publishing Tom Brevoort in the trailer. "There is no surrender in this because this is a do or die situation. Either the Avengers win out or save the day or there is no day to be saved tomorrow."

Co-written by Mark Waid, Al Ewing and Jim Zub with art by Pepe Larraz, Kim Jacinto and Paco Medina, Avengers: No Surrender folds three ongoing Avengers series into one weekly book beginning with Avengers #675 in January. The series will also introduce the mysterious forgotten Avenger called Voyager and Marvel has hinted that it will also bring back Bruce Banner as the Hulk.

"This is an epic story and one of the great advantages that we have in the comic book medium is we have an unlimited special effects budget," says Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Axel Alonso. "Stuff that you can't away with in movies because it's too expensive, we can do no problem, and that's exactly what we intend to do."

The trailer also shows members of the Black Order, including Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, and Red Giant, each of whom will be featured as the "children of Thanos" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Infinity War next year.

Avengers #675 goes on sale January 10, 2018.
