Before they settled on the final design, however, artist Andy Park created a concept version for a more Ultimates-like look, including the face mask and red goggles. Personally, I really liked his costume in Civil War, but I think the masked version could work as well. Maybe they’ll introduce it in future films now that he is more of an outlaw along with the rest of Cap’s team.
Park’s posted images of both looks on Twitter, with the caption “Concept art versions I painted up for #Hawkeye on #CaptainAmericaCivilWar (Tactical & Ultimates look) @Renner4Real”

The look was an embrace of a more aggressive and at times suicidal attitude from Hawkeye in the comics after he discovered Black Widow was the one behind the murder of his family. If a costume ever represented the vision of a character, it was this one. The ultimate Hawkeye is also known for his mechanically enhanced eyesight, which is why his aim is so accurate.
