2017 is more than halfway over, and the year has provided comic book junkies with a slew of great films. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 kicked the year off right before Wonder Woman broke records in June. In a few months, Thor: Ragnarok will hit theaters, but its star had troubling hype the Marvel movie recently because he just couldn’t get over Wonder Woman.

During an interview with MTV at San Diego Comic Con, Chris Hemsworth nodded to Hollywood and the number of actors named Chris. Wonder Woman had its own thanks to Chris pine, and the Thor star used the segue to gush over the DC film.
“I have such love and admiration for all Chris’ on the planet โ and all superheroes, including Wonder Woman.” Hemsworth admitted.
“I think it’s my favorite film this year. They did such a good job. We’re gonna make more, but it’s OK. It’s not a competition, it’s all love.”
Obviously, Hemsworth is not the only person feeling a certain way about Wonder Woman. The DCEU flick has raked in nearly $390 domestically and pulled in a staggering $780 million abroad. The movie is the franchise’s most successful entry to date, and critics lavished Wonder Woman with well-deserved praise following its debut.
This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has publicly backed Wonder Woman. Shortly after the film debuted, Gal Gadot did an interview with Yahoo News, and the actress had this to say: “They ask me who would win, Wonder Woman or Thor. And I think it’s Wonder Woman. Don’t you, Chris?”
Unsurprisingly, Hemsworth felt the same. “I think she’d kick Thor’s a**,” the actor responded.

Gal Gadot made her debut as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. She will return as Wonder Woman alongside the DC Extended Universe’s other heroes in Justice League, opening in November 2017.
Wonder Woman was directed by Patty Jenkins from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg, based on a story by Heinberg, Zack Snyder, and Jason Fuchs. Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, and Elena Anaya.
