Thor: Ragnarok sees Chris Hemsworth looking a bit different from his previous romps in Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and Avengers, something that fans of the comics are more familiar with. If that continues to be the case, the comics might give an even bigger clue in regards to a more significant change to come.

โ€ข UNWORTHY THOR – COMIC COMPARISON โ€ข So we got the images of Thor Ragnarok that showed Thor with short hair. a lot of people seemed confused and thought it was a design change but it ain’t, Thor’s hair will get cut during the film but why ? Thor’s trusted hammer Mjรถlnir and his long golden locks will be taken from him when he is forced to fight as a gladiator on Sakaar. But wait a minute, he is the one and only Thor and his hammer gets taken from him ? I think they are going for the Unworthy Thor route because how in the hell would someone just take Thor’s hammer from him ??? what do you think is going on ??? let me know below โœŒ๏ธ โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” #marvel #mcu #ironman #captainamerica #thor #hulk #blackwidow #hawkeye #spiderman #daredevil #hela #guardiansofthegalaxy #valkyrie #grandmaster #agentsofshield #thorragnarok #doctorstrange #marvelcinematicuniverse #accuratemcu #ragnarok #thor3 #avengers #sakaar #buckybarnes #loki โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Feel free to repost but make sure to tag me and give me credit.โœŒ๏ธ โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” please follow my backup account: @mcu.accurate โ€ผ๏ธSUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL. A new comparison from Instagram user AccurateMCU shows an image from Ragnarok’s Thor next to his counterpart currently featured in Marvel’s Unworthy Thor series. In the comics, Thor lost his trusty hammer Mjolnir thanks to a few unknown words from Nick Fury in Original Sin, but he’s also lost quite a bit more. After first losing his hammer (which was passed on to Jane Foster), Thor picked up an Ax and continued to fight, eventually entering a battle with Malekith the Accursed. Without the power of Mjolnir, Malekith was able to defeat Odinson, and also took his left arm. He eventually received an arm made of Uru from Odin, but could this be a hint at what is to come in Ragnarok?

Mjolnir is taken from Thor (along with his hair) as he enters the gladiatorial arena on the planet Sakaar. How does the Grandmaster get the hammer away from him? That question might be the key to all this, possibly meaning something happens to Thor’s arm later in the film. It could also be given up voluntarily, or taken by some other magical means, but this is just one possible avenue for Marvel to go down.
