20th Century FOX is returning to San Diego Comic-Con this year, and after rumors to the contrary, Deadpool 2 might just be making the trip as well.

FOX ended up skipping Comic-Con last year, and even though they are coming back this year, rumors have said Deadpool 2 won’t be shown. Deadpool’s Stefan Kapicic, who plays Colossus, shared some words that contradict that, saying, “Get ready #SanDiegoComicCon the MUTANTS ARE COMING! #stefankapicic #Colossus #Deapool #Xmen #Deadpool2 #Xforce ❌.”
Now that could mean a couple of things. Kapicic said specifically the “Mutants” are coming, which could mean a showing of New Mutants, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, or X-Force. It could also be a nod to Gifted, but that seems like a longshot.
Kapicic sharing it though indicates his involvement, which either means Colossus will show up in one of those projects (a noteworthy announcement) or FOX is indeed showing some Deadpool 2 footage.
Either way, it seems there will be some mutant news at Comic-Con, and that’s always a good thing.

Deadpool 2 currently enjoys a 4.10 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings, and you can find the film’s synopsis below.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool 2 is directed by David Leitch and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool/Wade Wilson), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Zazie Beetz (Domino), Josh Brolin (Cable/Nathan Summers), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Leslie Uggams (Blind AL), Julian Dennison, and Stefan Kapičić (Colossus).
Deadpool’s Holiday Blu-ray package is now available and retails for $25.99. Logan is also on Blu-ray and DVD, while Gambit still has a release date of December 31 of 2017, though that is likely going to change.
