“Out with the old and in with the new” is the motto being applied to Disneyland’s Tower of Terror ride.
The formerly Twilight Zone themed building in the back left corner of park was closed down just a few days ago. Now, it construction has begun to overhaul the Hollywood Tower Hotel into the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout ride, themed around the Marvel Studios film and the Collector’s visually enthralling warehouse.

The video below shows the first signs of construction taking place for the new ride at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
An opening date has not yet been announced for the new ride but the folks at Inside the Magic expect it will be opened ahead of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in May, allowing a full summer run for its first year.
The only announcement for the ride’s opening has said, “Summer 2017.”
This is the first Marvel Studios themed ride headed to a Disney theme-park in the United States. In 2016, the Iron Man Experience from Hong Kong was unveiled, while Universal Studios maintain several Marvel-themed rides, including a newly redesigned Incredible Hulk roller coaster, the Doctor Doom freefall ride, and others.
