EXCLUSIVE First Look At Civil War II Battle Variants By Chris Sprouse

Marvel Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at the “Battle Variants” for Civil War II.

Drawn by Chris Sprouse, the covers will bookend the series, appearing on Civil War II #1 and Civil War II #7, and feature the leaders of either side of the conflict – Iron Man and Captain Marvel – standing over their opposite number.

Civil War II #1, from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez, pits Team Iron Man against Team Captain Marvel over the use of a precognitive Inhuman’s powers to dish out “precognitive justice” before a crime takes place.

Civil War II #1 goes on sale in June.
