‘Inhumans’ Recap With Spoilers: “The Gentleman’s Name Is Gorgon”

“The Gentleman’s Name Is Gorgon” starts off with Lockjaw teleporting the Royal Family back to Attilan with Black Bolt being upset and killing Maximus, only for Maximus to wake up and realize he was having a nightmare.

On Oahu, Crystal and Dave are speaking with Dave’s vet friend Audrey and she keeps saying that Lockjaw needs rest. Crystal and Audrey get in an argument and Crystal ends up exploding Audrey’s cell phone.

The rest of the Royal Family is working on getting out of the jungle when Louise mentions that when they all arrived on Oahu, they created unique energy signatures. She mentions that Crystal should have created the same energy signature and they should be able to find her.

Louise has Locus’ communications device, which begins vibrating. Auran is calling to let the group know that she’s captured Sammy and Dr. Declan and she’s keeping them at Declan’s lab.

Black Bolt orders Karnak and Gorgon to find Sammy and Declan while him and Medusa try finding Crystal.

On Attilan, Maximus has gathered more Inhumans to send to Earth in hopes of helping Auran with capturing the exiled Royal Family. Eldrac teleports the group of Inhumans to Earth, lead by Bronaja’s father.

Tibor and the Royal Guard member plotting to overthrow Maxmius can be seen talking. Tibor mentions that Maximus must be killed.

Act II

On their way to find Crystal, Black Bolt and Medusa discuss what to do with Maximus when they get back to Attilan.  Medusa tells the king that she wants to give Maximus a fair trial and let the people of Attilan decide his fate.

Tibor approaches Maximus and tells him there’s a coup brewing to overthrow Maximus and murder him.  Initially hesitant to believe Tibor, Maximus orders the member of the Genetic Council to find out all the information he can.

In a flashback, Gorgon and Maximus are training — and Gorgon has the upper hand.  Karnak is looking on, trying to instill some wisdom, reminding Maximus that even Medusa and Crystal are skilled fighters.  Maximus finds a cane on the wall and smacks Gorgon across the back as he’s walking away.

Back at Declan’s facility, Auran is preparing the new troops.  They’re planning on drawing the entire Royal Family to the facility only to ambush them.

Crystal and Dave are on a hilltop — Crystal’s decided to try summoning lightning bolts so Medusa will know where she’s at.  After a few lightning strikes, Medusa eventually comes to the realization that it’s Crystal causing the weather change.

Act III

Maximus approaches Bronaja about his help.  After talking to him about what Tibor said and Maximus grabs Bronaja’s wrist.  Bronaja has a vision and sees Maximus and Tibor talking and Bronaja tells him that they should be able to trust Tibor.  Maximus tells Bronaja that he wants him by his side when he talks to Tibor.

Gorgon and Karnak are approaching Declan’s facility and are staking it out.  Gorgon finds the electrical supply and cuts the power.  Auran sees Karnak approaching and refuses to shoot him, she thinks he’s up to something — she doesn’t know his powers haven’t been working.

Karnak has infiltrated the facility and begins knocking out Auran’s original group of Inhumans.  He closes in on Mordis and the two exchange words — Karnak reflects on how terrified Mordis was when he first underwent Terrigenesis.  With Mordis distracted, Gorgon sneaks up behind him and chokes him out.

Act IV

Gorgon and Karnak free Sammy and let him free.  They work on finding Auran, not knowing that sent another team on henchmen to Earth.  Karnak runs into Bronaja’s father and knocks him out.

Gorgon finds Auran and the two fight.  Gorgon bests Maximus’ right hand woman and she surrenders.

Karnak frees Declan, who informs the Inhuman that Maximus has been funding his facility.

Crystal and Dave are still waiting to see if anyone arrives.  Crystal mentions that she didn’t she’d like Earth as much as she has and the two kiss.  Medusa, Black Bolt, and Louise drive up and the sisters hug.

Back at Declan’s facility, Mordis awakes and threatens to blow up the whole facility.  Gorgon is able to hold him off while everyone escapes, then he stomps, seemingly collapsing the facility on top of the two.

Act V

The group gets to Dave’s farm where Lockjaw is being kept.  Louise is gushing at the size of Lockjaw when police sirens light up outside the barn.  Dave runs out and Audrey’s there, she called the police because Dave is harboring an alien dog.

While Dave’s speaking with the police, Lockjaw teleports the Inhumans away, leaving no one but Louise in the barn.  When the cops open the door, Louise walks out accusing Audrey of locking her in there because she was dating Dave.

Lockjaw transport the group to Declan’s facility, which they find in shambles.  Black Bolt walks in and finds Mordis’ mask.  Karnak’s laying over Gorgon’s body — he’s dead.  The group carries his body outside and Black Bolt looks off into the distance.

Back on Attilan, the rebels Tibor has been working with approach Maximus, who knows what they’re up to.  The Royal Guard stops them and Maximus cuts Tibor’s throat, killing him.

Bronaja, witnessing the slaughter that just took place, is hesitant to join Maximus.  Maximus begs him to say “Long Live King Maximus.”
