Sylvester Stallone, Michael Rosenbaum, and the other Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 actors who played the “original Guardians” might be getting their own movie down the line, but according to James Gunn, there is at least one key fan expectation that it would not meet.
During a recent interview, Gunn admitted that he has talked with Marvel about future plans for the characters, looking the whole time a bit like the cat that ate the canary.

“There’s always discussion with Ravagers,” Gunn told Collider, adding that they would likely not be called Guardians or Guardians 3000. “It would be The Ravagers,” he added.
If it happens, Martinex will likely be involved as recently actor Michael Rosenbaum has made it no secret that he wants in on future Marvel Cosmic movies.
Gunn added that there is “always a possibility” of doing a Ravagers movie, adding, “I would be excited about it.”
Gunn is currently working on the screenplay for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is said to be the final film featuring the current configuration of Guardians, while the movie’s stars are all making their appearances on the Infinity War set.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, meanwhile, is set for a digital release next Tuesday, with a Blu-ray/DVD release following two weeks later.
