Marvel’s Inhumans is an ambitious new project that’s coming to both television and IMAX movie screens starting this summer, and today we got a first look at the series, with an official photo of the Royal Family, and a lengthy interview with showrunner Scott Buck.

The Inhuman Royal Family are certainly a unique set of characters in their own right – but the family photo gets even more unique when you include the character of Lockjaw. As the Royal Family’s official escort and teleporter (who happens to look like a giant bulldog with a tuning fork on his forehead), Lockjaw is one of the most strange (and cuddly) characters in the Marvel Universe – and fans are thoroughly interested in seeing how he gets adapted for the Inhumans television series.
Move Over Groot…
In his interview with EW,ย Inhumansย andย Iron Fistย showrunnerย Scott Buck let Marvel fans know that they should look forward to seeing Lockjaw onscreen. Buck even went so far as to suggest that the Inhuman creature will ultimately become a major standout of the series.ย
As Buck tells it: “Lockjaw is probably going to end up being the audience’s favorite character. We certainly enjoy working with him. He’s fun to write, he’s fun to shoot. There’s not too much more detail than that that I can give, but he is going to be a standout on the show.”
We’ve previously seen set photos of Lockjaw in his pre-CGI form: it’s basically a big, blue, model of the character, which will be detailed later in post-production.ย
