Marvel’s The Defenders Cannot Stop Trolling Each Other On Social Media

When it comes to social media, Marvel has got a lock on how the Defenders contact one another. Since Netflix started rolling out its superhero series like Dardevil, each of the titles have been given official social media accounts. Sites like Twitter and Facebook have housed larger-than-life personalities like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage over the last year or so. So, of course, the accounts have used their exposure in the most appropriate way possible.

That is, the Defenders accounts all troll each other half to death.

Over the past few months, the Defenders have become more vocal online as they poke fun at their fictional teammates. Jessica Jones’ dry humor has bit into Danny Rand’s suggestive tones – and Dardevil has done his best to keep out of the drama.

However, it looks like the gang couldn’t resist taking cheap shots at each other today. A few hours ago, Netflix debuted its first in-depth trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders, and social media lit up with the members’ fiery zingers towards one another.

Marvel’s The Defenders was developed by Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez. The miniseries will also feature Sigourney Weaver as the villain, Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver), and several recurring guest stars from Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage, and Marvel’s Iron Fist, including Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Scott Glenn as Stick, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.

Marvel’s The Defenders premieres on Netflix on Aug. 18, 2017.
