While Marvel’s Inhumans is wrapping filming of its season very soon, casting announcements for the highly-anticipated miniseries are still coming out. And with the ABC show already boasting one alum from Lost, it should have been expected for another cast member to join as well.

ScreenRant is reporting – based on Inhumans’ IMDB page – that Henry Ian Cusick will be a part of the series. Cusick portrayed Desmond Hume in over 70 episodes of Lost. He has most recently been seen on Scandal and The CW’s post-apocalyptic series The 100.
Cusick’s role in Inhumans is an interesting one, as it reportedly is an entirely original character. The actor is listed as playing Dr. Evan Declan in six of Inhumans‘ eight episodes. While there is no official confirmation or indication of his character’s role, it’s safe to assume that Cusick will be playing some sort of human doctor or scientist brought into the Inhumans’ orbit.
Also discovered on the show’s IMDB page are two characters much more familiar to Inhumans fans – Black Bolt and Maximus’ parents. Michael Buie – best known for a 2013 stint on Grey’s Anatomy – is listed as playing King Agon. And Tanya Clarke – previously seen on Banshee and A Beautiful Mind – will reportedly be playing Queen Rynda.
Both actors are listed as appearing in three episodes of the series – episode #1, #3, and #4. It’s safe to assume, especially considering the series focuses on their now-adult children, that Buie and Clarke will be playing the former Inhumans’ royals in some sort of flashbacks. This is especially true when you consider the origins of Black Bolt, who – thanks to his parents – was exposed to Terrigen Mists in the womb.
While, again, these casting changes are not officially confirmed, they introduce some pretty interesting elements into the world of Marvel’s Inhumans.
Marvel’s Inhumans stars Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Ken Leung (Karnak), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Sonya Balmores (Auran), Mike Moh (Triton), and Ellen Woglom).
Marvel’s Inhumans will premiere the first two episodes in IMAX on September 1. The full series will debut on ABC later this fall.
