With the hype surrounding Logan moving full steam ahead as we inch closer to the movie’s March premiere, Marvel comics maestro Joe Quesada took to Tumblr to share some process artwork that’s included in the comic book that was shown in the most recent Logan trailer.
“Since this page is already public, as seen in the mind blowing Logan trailer, I’m guessing it’s okay to post these process pieces,” Quesada posted on the microblogging service. “It was a blast working closely with James Mangold on creating these pages (yes, there’s more than one) and thrilled to have been invited on the project.”

In the trailer, which debuted late last week, Logan can be seen picking up a comic book that apparently belonged to X-23 and it was later revealed that artist Dan Panosian inked and colored the pages.
“Attached [on Tumblr] are my final digital pencils that Dan Panosian had to recreate in a more 90s ink and coloring style and boy did he nail the look!” he said.
Quesada wrapped up his Tumblr post by sharing a few details of the images he shared. There’s a rough layout that shows the most basic figures inside the panels layouts as another image shows the finished pencils. The final two images feature Panosian’s inks and colors.
Logan stars Hugh Jackman (Logan), Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Dafne Keen (Laura Kinney/X-23), Doris Morgado (Maria), Stephen Merchant (Caliban), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Gabriela), and Richard E. Grant (Dr. Zander Rice). James Mangold is directing and helped on the screenplay along with Scott Frank and Michael Green.
Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
